Ultimate Dog Food comes in a meal (like a thick powder) instead of the industry standard kibble. The bone meal has been steamed, as opposed to cooked, to keep the vital nutrients intact. It can be fed straight from the bag as a meal, mixed with warm water, or mixed with steamed vegetables. Some dogs love it dry and straight from the bag, others like it “fluffed up” with a bit of water. You can even feed it as a top-dressing on Super Premium Dog Food. Any way you feed it, dogs love it! Does Ultimate Dog Food really contain soy? Isn’t that an allergen and bad for dogs? Ultimate Dog Food contains clean, whole extruded, non-genetically modified soy beans. The soy allergen concern comes from genetically modified soy beans, that are then stripped of oil and enzymes, making it very difficult to digest. For about ten days, gradually increase the ratio of Ultimate to the prior food, until your dog is eating only Ultimate. Switching too quickly is hard on the digestive system and could cause serious impaction. Watch your dog carefully for signs of straining while eliminating and other digestive issues and always remember to use Dyna-Pro™. Is it for all dogs? What about puppies and seniors with a special diet? Dynamite has one formula because we have not seen anywhere in nature where a puppy eats anything different than his mama after being weaned, nor do senior dogs change their diet when they get older. They still eat the same food, then just moderate the amounts. So, we’ve done the best we can to create the best food possible for all ages. Do I need to add Showdown®? No!
